Just got (what im told is hard to find) a Black 1995 Maxima SE. Its got Power sunroof, windows, locks, mirrors, heated seats, and keyless entry. Interior is all black with black leather, limo tint, and facory BOSE stereo.

Odometer reads 356,000Km but it had an engine swap at 300,000. A 60,000Km engine was put in. ( I have proof of that). So a little under 120k.

I don't know much about them and haven't even really seen one until i stumbled across this deal. Got it for my old POS 85' ford f-150, traded straight up.

Only problem is that it needs body work. Needs a passenger side rear quarter, and both fenders, besides that its in great shape. Had it on a hoist and its solid underneith. Are these cars worth much for resale? I'm looking at a $1400 body job, and can't decide on weather I make this thing shine or just make it my winter beater. What's your opinions on this car?

Thanks for any opinions

The black on black SEs are indeed very hard to find. I wish mine was black. On another note, is it M/T or A/T? If it's the 5MT, it's even more of a find.

Welcome to NICO.

If you were to resell it after the body work is done, you should definitely be able to make more than the $1400 on it.After bodywork, I'd say it'd be worth around $3k.

Yeah its a 5speed manual. Its got some pretty decent power i was suprised.

Ive got one more question though.. anyone ever change an ignition on one of these, i think it needs replacing, i popped the cover off thats around it but can't tell much, something an experienced backyard mechanic can get in to or should i just bring it to a shop. I dont want the airbag going off, lol had that happen once before in a civic
