Yep. I've got one. My car is pretty much a maxima.

http://www.infinitinews.com and/or http://www.nissannews.com has specs for all the old models.

not that you are heading this way but i was going to buy a rebuilt tranny and stick the phantom grip lsd on it. cheapest route for me. the thing i found out about the infinti lsd is that its not 50/50 but more like 70/30 , still seems like it would be better than nothing. also isnt there a 2001 anniversary model that came with lsd ?

Anyone know of options to add a differential as opposed to a whole tranny? How are you guys liking the Phantom Grip conversion?

Honestly how much does it help? Everyday driving would be better, along with seemingly much help in auto-x, but in straight line acceleration it does not seem like it would help alot.

I say that because people cut 1.7-1.8 60's without it so.............?

very true, it helps more in autox and cornering, rain, etc... BUT wait until you try and warm those slicks up, and only 1 will spin in the burnout box. the factory LSD is not anything incredible, but a step in the right direction. I don't know how long it would last with slick-like abuse

If I did NOT have VLSD and my trann ywent out, I woudl definately have tried the Phantom Grip, but instead I just bought an I30t with the VLSD already in there.

I just really wonder, actual/factual number wise, how much it would help 60's.

Well the HLSD came on the 2k2+ 6-speeds. The way to tell is if u buy the car and it comes stock with 350z pedalz.. IF you want to install one, its just a simple drop in... the problem is taking the tranny off and taking out all the gears and ect and more ect.

I believe the 4th gen LSD is a VLSD(viscous limited slip differential)

Yes. All 4th gen w/ limited slip (which I believe i the maxima were limited to canadian models w/ cold-weather package) are VLSD. Also, I30t LSD-equipped models were viscous-operated as well.
