Seems like it might be tricky from an electrical side. I know I don't have a switch for these so not sure how they are even regulated to be on or off. You could just hook them up to a basic switch and turn them on when you need them I guess. Maybe someone with a bit more electrical expertise can chime in...Tomsoxfan wrote:Does anyone know how difficult it would be to replace the side mirrors on my 05 Maxima SE with heated mirrors..
Maybe either from ebay or a jumk yard ?
thanks
on my 95 they come on with the rear window defroster. i would assume it's all prewired since they come, or at least used to, with the cold package.jsmithsole wrote:

Yes I did, they fit pretty darn good considering that they are from a completely differetn car! I hooked up the blinkers but am waiting on wiring diagram for both cars/mirrors to hook up the rest of the goodies. Here's pics:Tomsoxfan wrote:Did you get your new side mirrors installed yet ?
With the 6th gen, the heated mirrors are operated by the rear window defroster switch. Not like the 3rd gen which has a separate mirror heater control (which is the way I prefer). It may be as simple as swapping mirrors and plugging in a harness connection.jsmithsole wrote:Seems like it might be tricky from an electrical side. lol, I have always liked that look, seems classy (and safer) OK, really I just am a light (LED) whore and have always loved the look!!MinisterofDOOM wrote:I like how wide those 7th gen mirrors are. I never did understand the appeal of mirror-mounted signal repeaters, though.

I just used a wire tester to find out which wires they were and then on the 7th gen mirrors ran through the process of narrowing it down and then spliced in...wasn't too bad actually.Tomsoxfan wrote:How involved was it to hook the blinkers up?
I think it was luck, a guy had 4 sets for sale for $60 ea. I wasn't even sure they'd fit but couldn't pass them up! MSRP is like $360 each...Tomsoxfan wrote:If you know where I could get a pair of 09's like yours please let me know. I checked ebay but had no luck
