Maxima Front License Plate Bracket

I recently moved from a state that requires a front license plate to one that doesn't. I want to remove that ugly front plate bracket but doing that leaves two screw holes in the bumper. My dealer suggested either leaving the bracket in place and getting some kind of aftermarket plate such as a sports team logo to mount on the bracket or drill the screw holes out a bit and install body plugs in the holes. Does anyone have a better solution? My car is a white 2012 Maxima.
