Hey guys,
I posted a topic about doing a conversion to an 02 I35 back in March.
The car has been done since July (minus paint) and i thought i would update anyone interested.

Back story behind the car, I bought it in March with damage to the front end. It had sat for 8 months at a apartment complex after the owner moved away. I drove it around a few days and fixed the coolant leak from the water neck being broken from the accident. I started tearing it apart, removed the radiator support and found the frame rails were bent pretty good! Towed it out to my work and straightened the frame rails and welded in a new radiator support. Went to my local wrench n go and sourced a whole front end off of a 03 maxima! Heres what i have for parts.

-Hood, front fenders, bumper -$75
- Front crash parts- $40
- Headlights -$35
-Wiring pigtails- Free
-Foglights- Free

Let me know what you think!
More to come! 350z anniversary wheels (gunmetal) going on soon! as well as exhaust and K sport springs!

Hell yeah! Bringing it right back to life.

Great color - I'm a big i35 fan. Such an underrated car.

I'm a big fan of the color too, I have to fix the usual rear wheel well rust that's starting, but over all I'm happy with it. I originally purchased the car for $300 so having less than 600 in it (plus some hours of labor) I'm satisfied. Plus I don't know if there is any other I35's with the maxima front end on em'. I could of went the OEM route but couldn't source affordable parts, and I had a great condition maxima sitting at my wrench n go so I gave it a shot. I prefer the 03 Maxima big grille look to the I35 even though some frown on it. When it gets the aftermarket grille it will still be rocking the Infiniti badge!

I'm still fighting to find a answer to my bucking jerking problem I'm still having. But as you stated they are underrated, and even with my problems this is the smoothest car I've owned and how smooth the power comes on is very satisfiying!
