i have a 2002 maxima with 140k miles. auto trans, engine runs great. no miss fires no hesitation strong power. intermittently when i come to a stop release the brake then apply the gas and the engine DIES. i mean straight dead. no hesitation no stumble. on one occassion i lifted off the gas as i felt it dieing and it stayed running. no codes. i have cleaned the trottle body (no i didnt spray carb cleaner into it) and did a relearn on the pedal position. APP 1 & 2 are at 5.57v TPS is at .61v when read with snap on scaner. t/belt was changed a while ago, car never ran as good since.any assist would be wonderful. its my g/friend car you know she in my ear.feel free to contact me via email [email protected]

No timing belt on this engine. It's a chain which should never need to be replaced. Who replaced it and why?

whoever replaced it might've messed the timing up.

Yea since this motor doesnt have a timing belt I would definatly find out who worked on it last and ask them questions...ask your gf to get you the bill she paid and find out what work they did.
