Maxima Emergency Brake

I changed the rear brake pads in my 2000 Maxima. When loosening the 10mm nut under the E-brake handle, the nut came off and is lost down in the bowels of the car. Anyone ever had this problem or knows how to replace the nut? Should I take it in?

you can either take your center console out and get it out that way more than likely be the best of just get a new nut for it. Easy to match up at a hardware store but if you get the tools take up the console.
