Hey does someone know approximately how many horses does the ECU gives you and how much does it cost?

umm which ECU? JWT usually adds between 10-25 HP depending on what mods you have. I have I/H/E and they told me that i should get around 15-20. they cost like $600, but you have to send yours to get it remapped. if you don't send yours in, they will send you one already mapped and charge you an extra $700 core charge which you will get back when they recieve your ECU. i forgot how long they said it takes, like between 1 and 2 months (if you send yours in.) here's the site: http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/ good luck bro.

dude, forget trying to remap your stock ecu. why not just get a greddy emanage unit? thats what im gonna do when i save up the funds! it costs practically the same amount of money as having yours remapped/reflashed but allows for a TON of tunability and variability! basically, you can use it to tune YOUR car to suit YOUR needs with the ability to tune for a different setup if you wanted to later! just my $0.02.

EDIT: BTW, last time i checked/called about JWT...they only offered the maxima ecu for 4th gens (and only the '95-'96 models at that)! they said even though '97-'99 are 4th gens as well, that the ecu's were different. however, a '97-'98 model could swap and run a jwt ecu from a '95-'96 wereas the '99 ecu's were different and couldnt be swapped out or remapped! but then again, that was this past summer and may have changed??

He is absolutely correct. Just left out installation and initisl tuning. Xtra 300 or so bucks. If I were to upgrade the ECU in mine Greddy EMU is the only way to go. My $0.02

My only thoughts when it comes to emanage is that i do not want the availability change my stuff around. if pros do it, i know it's done right and there's nothing really that i can do to mess that up. would this make it my $0.04?
