maxima clutch on sr20det
i heard that the 1984-2001 Nissan Maxima act clutch will work on an sr20det balcktop, has anyone ever use a maxima cutch on an sr20det

I have one... it bolts up fine... just have to use the SR throwout bearing and pilot bushing instead of the one supplied with the kit. But i am having issues with slippage... i dont know if its the clutch, or if its cause i havent adjusted the pedal yet, or what. But to answer the question, yes the clutch and pressure plate fit

my mom had a 96 maxima for 9 years (we bought it new)
the clutch had to be replaced about halfway through the time we had it (140k total, so maybe around 80k on the clutch). granted, my mom liked to burn it a bit on hills, but when it was replaced i remember my dad telling me that the dealer actually told him that in his opinion the clutch was undersized for that engine..
i drove it many times and i always had it slip hitting 2nd gear when i was on the gas..maybe look into an aftermarket clutch for those maximas instead?
