Earlier this month I was forced to replace the rubber feed line that connected the clutch master to the clutch slave which had burst. When I went to bleed the system, I found that I couldn't build any pressure.

When the clutch had failed and I had practically kicked the clutch petal to the floor, so I figured that through my frustration I had damaged the master cylinder

After replacing the master and checking that the slave was functional, I once again attempted to bleed the system which again failed to build any pressure.

I am really stumped so if anyone can offer any advice I'm sure it would be helpful.

There should be two places that you actually need to bleed. There is usually a little box that is a sort of damper and sometimes air can get trapped in it. I believe you first bleed at the slave cylinder then the damper. Follow the line from the master to the slave and you should find the damper between. It should be a metal box with a few lines running to it and the lines will probably be coiled a bit (basing off of my 3rd gen, yours could be different). Should be a bleed valve right on it, that should fix the issue... if not, then one of the other components must be bad again.

Thanks for the Advice

I finally got the thing working about a week ago, turns out the replacement master cylinder I had purchased was defective so I disassembled the cylinder I had pulled from the car, cleaned and repaired it, and dropped that one back in and it has been working fine.

Also, as for the small box with the aux. bleeder in 1997-99 models of the 4th Gen maxima it is attached to the driver's side strut housing immediately behind the air box.
