Its the early 90's maxima clutch, Id say you where fed a story, I have one and it started slipping as soon as I went front mount and turned the boost up to 12 psi. I now have a exedy stage 2 waiting for me to put in. Its an ok clutch for a stock setup or if your in a really tight money situation but as the sr clutch is harder to change because of the larger bell housing I would suggest you save up for one that can hold whatever power level your going for.

Call these guys. Tennesse clutch supply(615)242-4163. Ask for Randy. Tell them you want a 6 paddle competition clutch for a 89-94 maxima.(Bolts up on the SR) They'll send you one of these for about $140 shipped...........I have a JGY flywheel and I have over 50 passes with drag tires in the 7's in the 1/8th and it pulls fine. They stagger the paddles kevlar/ceramic and it grips like hell and last long 2. I have a 1800lbs pressure plate but you can ask for 1200lbs if you want a softer pedal. I bought 2 clutches for $260 complete with pressure plate and bearings and the first has yet to fail. When it does I will send the used one back and have it rebuilt for $65.

It worked fine for me with over 400whp on drag radials and I only had $130 bucks in the clutch. If you are making less than 300ft/lbs of tq I would get the 1200 lb pressure plate not the 1800 that I ran. A little easier on the left leg. This cluch is basically a rebuilt version of a competition stage 4+. Good street manners but capable of cutting 1.6 60's with a good driver and hold 400+ ft/lbs of tq. How can you go wrong???

i've had this clutch for about 9 months now and havent had any complaint. i got a 1200lb pressure plate, the stock sr20det pressure plate is about 1279lbs so the 1200lb is a little soft for my liking so im gonna go with the 1800lb when i get my next one.

ive been running one for about 6 months. i have the 1800lbs and its soft for my liking haha. it is really a fantastic clutch. i have NEVER had a problem with it. hooks up great and is fun to clutch kick. i love when it heats up and gets into its chattery, sticky grippy mode :) i dont think ill buy anything else but this when it wears out. randy is the man and he is very very nice. fast shipping too!

Sorry, I've been MIA for a while on this forum... I sold my 91 S13 soupe(that was going KA-T) last week and I'm putting the holset HX40 on my 02 Lexus IS300.... Looking for 600whp on E85 with GTE internals and a R154 tranny... The 60mm HX40 should make 300wtq by 2800 rpm on the 2jz....

I'm 33 now and the wifey got tired of the 20 year old 240's and wanted me to build something nicer....

Randy is the man and you can't beat the price/performance of his clutches..... I use him on all my builds... LSx, SR, KA-T, VG, and VQ's just to name a few.

I doubt they will ever have a web sight. They are a hole in the wall clutch rebuilder in downtown nashville TN. They sell clutches for race cars to big rigs to fork lifts.

BTW, the guy a I sold my gray coupe to is building a SR for it now. MHI 20g with enthalpy dual tune for 93 and race gas. Should make 350 on stock cams and runn 11's in the 1/4

I traded it for a 04 avvy on 24's even and flipped the avvy...

I put a LQ9 escalade 6.0 in it with a Texas speed custom grind cam and a 200 shot. Thats what it took to make it keep up with the SR car.... It ran 11.42@128mph so it was barely faster than the SR with the 30R.

Back to rice for me with the holset HX40 on a IS300...
