Maxima alternator whine

I have a 96 Maxima with a JVC head unit, stock BOSE speakers and a 12" Infiniti sub and rockford fosgate amp. and it has alternator whine. what do you guys think I can do about it to get rid of it?

The right way: Make sure everything is grounded in the same spot. Alternator whine occurs from multiple grounds, and "ground loop" The easy way: Install a $3 ground loop isolator on a set of RCAs. This is like a band-aid - you are covering up the problem instead of repairing.

It depends on what you have the amp hooked up to and how you wired everything.

First of all, your car does NOT have a ground wire in the radio wire harness. If you didnt ground the JVC radio to the chassis, then its grounding thru the antenna wire, which may be causing your problem.

Also if you are still using the BOSE amps and speakers, DONT.

There's so much you left out, its kinda hard to help you.
