Got a 2014 maxima with a 8th gen motor in it as well as some mods and a tune.
I’m looking for the best spark plugs for my engine, I been told I shouldn’t use plugs from previous gens?
I was looking on z1 at the HKS plugs or the NGK, I want to go ‘one step colder ‘
Also want to u change my coils…

Can I use previous gen parts?
Any recommendations?

I don't know where you heard that about the plugs, but they're the same across gen7 and gen8, Denso FXE22HR11 iridiums. For performance I think you'll be hard pressed to do better than the stock plugs. For long life you may do better with NGK's.

Some of the 7/8 parts are swappable, some aren't. The version of the VQ35 used on the gen7's had mag retarders for exhaust cam control, the gen8's went back to conventional hydraulic solenoids.
