I decided to try performing the windshield wiper replacement myself on a Nissan Maxima 2000. Per the manual, I was able to get the driver's side wiper replaced, but the passenger side mechanism doesn't seem to have the same removal procedure (there doesn't seem to be an opening to pull the old wiper out (even when holding down the tab). Any guidance would be appreciated.

After 2 days of being stumped, I took another stab and figured out that I could just take the entire housing and wiper out carefully (rather than holding the tab which seemed to do nothing). The previous blades were AquaEdge and I guess came in some odd housing to secure it. The new ones are Anco's and had a different housing and installation was easy; just stick it in and wait for the click.

Guess I will save myself about $10 a wiper change rather than doing it in a shop.

Did you get the traditional blades or the contour blades.

I put the contour blades on my Max last year and really like them a lot. Actually it's about time for some new ones.
