I raced a Camaro SS (LS1) yesterday (first real noteworthy race since I got my car). I was following him and once the next lane opened up I moved over and he jumped before I even got to his rear bumper so I had to play catch up. I got almost to his bumper inching very very slowly through 3rd then we had to slow down. I was happy considering he had exhaust and an SLP license plate frame. Anyway, back on topic...after the race I was looking through my SAFC and saw I peaked at 100% airflow. Guess I really need a Z32 MAF. :ylsuper Is there any possible damage that can be done maxing out the maf? Also, the injectors were at a 50-60% duty cycle through the race according to my bro reading the AVCR. The current set up is:

stock SR20DETstock 370'sGarrett T3/T04E @ 12psi Tial 38mm HP wastegate (atmospheric venting)3" turbo backApexi AVC-R and SAFC-IIWalbro FP

I'm gonna use the SAFC to run the Z32 maf and 550cc injectors (on order) until I can get a Power FC. What else am I gonna need? I've heard I don't need an FPR or larger fuel rail with the 550's. I don't plan on going more than 350-380whp. Thanks for the help...also I heard you can cut the yellow/green stripe wire (VSS I think) on the KA harness to get rid of the speed cut. Has anyone tried that on the SR harness? Do the speedo/tach/odo still work? Thanks.

Im sure your injectors were running higher than 60% with that turbo at 12psi. Its a good thing you got thoes 550's comming.

Do you have a air fuel meter? Im not sure if the SAFC has it or not. But Im willing to bet your running prety lean at that point. Just as a refference, my injectors are at about 70% with a Fried T25 at 5.5 PSI. Your obviously pushing alot more air with that turbo, be careful.

Hey, you wouldnt happen to have your T25 would you? I need one. ;-)

To get rid of my speed cut, I just unplugged the sender from the transmission. Of course the speedo no longer works. But then again, once you're flying through the top of 4th gear... you're well over, 30mph over the limit.

I thought my stock injectors should be higher than that...maybe the motor has different injectors? I was thinking maybe the 480s from th S15? Who knows. I don't have the stock T25, sorry. Anyway...any more info would be appreciated.

so what all whould you need to do to install the Z32 MAF and the 550's and could you get away with just using a AFC of some sort?

Dude, In all seriousness.... a T3/T04E turbo @ 12psi on the stock injectors and MAF is living dangerously. Be careful not to melt a piston. You can't always here detonation. Some of it is inaudible but I would be guessing that you are running dangerously lean in the upper rpm levels, even with the AFC.

anyways, just wanted to let you know to be careful. Those turbos flow a hella lot more air than the T25. Z32 MAFs are pretty cheap.

If you cut the VSS wire you will not have a speedometer. I think what you are referring to is the 5th gear sensor, but you will want to double check.

thanks for the warning. I'm ordering parts now...still gotta figure out if the injectors are really stock. The AVCR is wired correctly to the injector signal on the ECU...I was suprised they weren't maxed out.
