MAX Whinnning

My early '94 Max gxe has developed a whining coming from under the hood. The sound is heard better from inside the car versus under the hood. I gets louder a few minutes after startup. It's there all the time, but get's louder when the fan's upfront come on, I turn the A/C on, also sound goes up/down when steering wheel is turned.

Steering Rack is rebuilt, going on 2 yrs, that's also last time p/s fluid was changed. Belts are 2yrs < 20k miles. A/C was also serviced when the other stuff was done.

*Motor was replaced about 6mos ago. - yES i did re-use the old belts, since they looked almost new to the eye.

Any ideas where i should start lookin for a solution?Let me know if more service info would help.

i recomend you pull the belts off and try again. if noise is gone i would be looking towards the alternator.

Are you saying to replace w/ new belts or start car w/out belts <<<is that possible?

start car with no belts. that way you eliminate the belts and anything driven by them.
