As I look at my AC, I find myself wondering what is really possible (and realistic) for the 3.5VQ in our cars.

The question is posed with the understanding this a 6MT and the goal is max power but reliability and drivability is a concern.

In a perfect world, I would push the numbers up to 400HP (VERY lofty, I know) and would lower the car 1.5"-2" and focus on handling (with offerings from Racingline) to cope with wheel-hop, but I am unsure if that is even realistic. No real interest in spraying; my sights are more on turbo or SC options.

Is this attainable given the 3.5VQ mounted side-ways in our AC? I know anything can be done with a big enough check-book but I'm talking reality here ($6k or less).

6k or less your only option would be spraying.

Think i read somewhere that the 6 speeds can handle something like 300-350 whp. Search the forums theres millions of threads on the power limits of our cars.
