max hp

hi everyone, not sure if this has already been asked but i didnt see it come up in a search. was wondering what the max hp out of the redtop s13 sr20det and the blacktop s14 sr20det could be stock and with upgraded FMIC, injectors, fuel pump, and fuel rails. thanks again everyone is very helpful

Probably about 230-250 rwhp on the S13 SR at 14 psi (the safe limit). And possibly 250-265 rwhp on the S14 SR at 14 psi. Depending on the injector size as well, you may not even need them though you would be running close to max.

thanks, cause im trying to figure out what engine i wanna get and ive seen the specs and like the s14 cause its newer, bigger turbo, VVT; but i like the s13 because ive heard its got potential(as all things do) and they have the higher exhaust ports which means they handle a new turbo better but its all in time. thanks for the info speed

Could an S13 red top with upgraded fuel pump, fmic, 3 in dp, intake, 3 in exhaust, ecu reprogram and S15 injectors make 250wrhp at 14psi? 300hp at the crank is where I want to be at with my S13 stock turbo. i prolly will never have the cash to upgrade the turbo...so I will max out efficiency on the t25 and hope that with those mods I can run high 13's.

pretty sure the only stock turbo that's gonna get you 300hp is the S15's T28, but i maybe wrong....as for upgrading the turbo, just buy a used DSM big 16....i think that might even use the same flange....

hmm I heard that 300hp at the crank was maxing out the t25

oh yeah, the crank, lol....well i guess its possible at the crank, not at the wheels though.....why would you care what the crank HP is, kinda usless information unless your mesuring how much HP is lost in the drivetrain....at the wheels is what counts, unless you just want a bigger number to brag about....

im having a hard time deciding on what i wanna get but im also toying with the idea of being a guinea pig for something that would make a lot of power but be kinda hard to do...hint(think infiniti) leaning towards s14 blacktop and upgrading some of that stuff but also looking at CA18 for a boost monster, but still considering s13 so im keeping my options open, in the end alls that matters is how much to the ground, crank power doesnt win races

there's people that have hit 12's maxing out the stock turbo and many that hit mid to low 13's with all the bolt ons. but constatnly running at max boost will kill the life of ur turbo
