Max bore on KA24de ??

Did a search in both KA and Technical forums and didnt see anything other than factory bore specs, anyone know what the max potential bore on the KA24de by chance ? Looking to have my project head port and polished with new cams and sprockets some time soon and just curious what I could have the block bored out to if any . Thanks for any info on the matter.

No major advantage to boring out anymore than the stock max 90mm. I have gone to 91.1mm maximum, and 90.5mm on a 2.4l nissan block. I run the 91.1mm bore in my japan ka24e 240sx block, if done correctly and after sonic testing the block this bore is ok. Oringing is not an option without special 4 bore siamesed ring and even then its slim. Headgasket fit and seal is main importance, custom copper is best option imho, i had ordered a stack of various before i found one with the best fit.

btw. the mexico cast ka blocks specifically rwd truck have the thickest cylinder walls.

That is a few bucks saved, thanks for the info DeviousKA. More than likely will just stick with stock bore and have the cyclinder walls honed with balanced and blueprinted, new internals to get preped for turbo upgrade in the future . Any advice on which internals would be good to go with DeviousKA ? I have been looking at some of JWT's items, lot of good feedback I am reading about ALL their products. And anyone else with advice please chime in . Time frame I am looking for new motor to be completely rebuilt and in car is around the April of next year, project motor is already broke down and will start ordering parts hopefully by the end of Nov. The turbo upgrade will be more towards the end of next (sigh) due tothe fact I have to pay for last year of college, keep the bills paid and wife happy.
