yeah its true but unless you want compressor shards in your motor and ceramic peices in your engine bay I wouldn't recommend that to you do that to Freshly swapped ***** Don't go over 10-12 on that stock turbo.

yeah if you want more power, get a RB25 turbo or a VG30 turboI wouldn't go any past 12psi, just in case you get boost creep

Hey does anyone have part #s or any way to tell the difference between a RB20 & a RB25 turbo?A part # on a Rb25 turbo would be very helpful

you are probably better off going a different route than the RB25 turbo, because you still are only going to be able to run around 12PSI

.9 bar and that is with a good electronic boost controller that can prevent overshoot. Manual boost controller .8 then click it up a notch after the initial drop of the throttle when the tires hook up.

Turbo size has nothing to do with it, its the point at which the glue lets go and the ceramic turbine wheel removes itself from the turbine housing.

14PSI can be run in small amounts but not for extended periods of time.

Nissan opted for a ceramic wheel because of its lighter weight giving you faster spool times, but no positive in the car world is without a negative...and this is no exception.

I am fitting an hks EBC onto my rb20 next week.I am going to run 10psi for low boost and 12psi for high boost.my question is will the power increase of 2psi be worth the risk of blowing my blades?OR is 12psi relatively safe for the turbo?

Don't forget to set your over boost protection. I had spikes one day at the track. Don't know why, it would spike to 14psi then the over boost kicked in and brought it back to 10psi.

depands on the boost controller, with some your eyes on the boost gauge IS the protection.

my evc V is a lill diffrent. Might want to look in the manual and it will tell you how to set it. The screen looked like the was the boost setting screen but it was further down into the setting.

an s14/s15 BB t28 won't bolt up to a stock rb20's mani. They use a t25 flange whereas rb20's use a t3.

the 20 and 25 will blow if you try to run them at 17 lbs, that is 1.2 bar DO NOT DO THAT. turbo go boom, engine get indegestion on peices. Your 14 is about the limit if you want it to last.
