Hey guys,

First post here, have been a long time reader but for some reason never a member until now...

Anyways, I've been reading around and there seems to be mixed opinions on the max boost levels of the smic. I have a stock sr that I'd like to run at about 11-12 psi, and was wondering if this is feasible for the smic? I want to retain the sleeper look, so if a front mount could be avoided that'd be ideal. Also, anything else I should know about bumping the boost up to those levels? From what I've read it seems to be about the limit of a safe level (for dd anyways).

Thanks,Chris

probably 9-10psi max on a warm day... Anything higher might be out of it's efficiency range. You might be able to get more efficiency from a thicker cored smic from like an s15 sidemount or an ARC sidemount

Lets assume normal Vancouver weather (anywhere from 0 -> 30 degrees Celsius). What I'm essentially wondering is would 12 psi be safe or would I start to damage components?

I ran 11psi on my SMIC for awhile in Oklahoma. You'll be fine running SMIC at 12psi, I imagine you'll start feeling the effects of heatsoak if you do multiple full boost runs, but I doubt that in daily driving it'll be a problem.
