Can a 2871r be run to it's full potential on 550's or would 740's be more appropriate?

from what i heard from my turbo fiend friends... with the 2871r probably better off wit 740's bc supposedly if you constantly run your injectors at 75% or more your puttin a lot of stress on them and can possibly lead to failure... and if your injector fails under heavy load that sounds like an expensive situation to me.... i can DEF be wrong but hey , i wouldnt risk it especially if i just put a couple G's under the hood of my car....and it just gives you more room to tune do to the capability of more fuel... again if im wrong i apologize, im just goin wit what some1 wit more experience told me... def open to constructive criticism....

I have January's issue of modified mag (reading material at work lol )But they just got through doing a pp, 252 cams i think and a aem ems tune , 15 psi put down 345 whp on the gt2871r .64 a/r turbo . I have no complaints with these numbers i cant remeber what injectors he is using or maf or if its map but i still like the numbers .

I remember reading SSC or Modifed mag , the one w/ the 3 240's on the cover. 1 was a S13 w/ a VQ na engine the other was a S14 w/ a KA-t and the last one was a S15 w / a S15 engine ( of course) , anyway it was paul dentice's car. It said he had his head ported by some Japanese garage , poncams and stock s15 turbo #'s - 336whp unknown boost

Just because 1 person can don't mean you will be as lucky.

10psi might be pushing it, make sure you have at least a fuel pump. 7-8psi would be safer.
