Damn Touge. that sucks bro. I saw you posted again on your thread and i thought you had good news.

Well at least you found a few problems that can be fixed, instead of getting these new parts and just bolting them on. Well good luck on yours.

I just got my nismo FPR, hotpipe with greddy bov, obx oil catch. But now to start putting some stuff on for myself.

Cleaned all the fuel out of the manifold, she's dry now. Then I went on to re-pin my knock sensor plug and found something weird that I am hoping someone on here can help me with. The knock sensor of course has 2 male terminals, but the plug that goes to it only has one. So I stripped the wires back on the plug harness thing and found this.

There is only one hole for a wire to enter ????

Only one terminal ???

Wire going nowhere ?????????

HELP!

Nope, not really good news other than the fact that I got my stock injectors and plugs.

Thats awesome you got some new parts. Can't wait till you get your car going Do you have a build thread?

Thanks for the concern man, I appreciate it. Haha, yeah that's probably one of my favorite pics as well. My friend came over one night and did a little photo shoot. He wants to do more once it's running.

I'm not sure if it's a ground or not. My friend told me that it's possible that it is grounded somewhere else through the ECU, which would make sense, but then why would there be a loose wire? I just might have to go to the dealer for this one

*So I just got back from the dealer. I needed new injector caps (Part #17521H) since I lost 2 of mine and broke another, but they wanted something stupid like $54.00 for a set. Not happening. While I was there I talked to a mechanic about my little knock sensor harness dilemma. He said that the knock sensor grounds its self to the motor (duh, why didn't I see that) and that there is only supposed to be one pin on the plug going to the sensor. The extra wire hanging there is, well just an extra wire. Oh well, at least now I know.

I also had to take my Power steering line back because the banjo fitting the shop put on is not big enough to fit the bolt through, so I need a new fitting. I'm also waiting for more T-bolt clamps, and thats about it.

the return fuel line goes to the fpr and the fuel filter line goes on the opposite side it seems like your fpr is set at a high psi get it adjusted to the right spec for that motor...I have a rb25 its set at 43psi without vacuum hooked up iam not sure how many psi you have to set it for the sr...good luck with it

I've been busy since the last time I updated anything. The car is running now. I drove it around town a few times to test things out. First it was running great. Very responsive, sounded good, but idled a little high at about 1k, and then I got a coolant leak coming from my thermostat housing. So I got some liquid gasket and fixed the leak and messed with the IACV screw a little to try to get the idle down a little, as well as the CAS timing. Then I drove it again. It felt pretty sluggish and the idle actually went up even though I turned the adjustment screw clockwise (lower idle). So I pulled her in and tried to settle the idle by adjusting the IACV so I can finally set the timing, but as of now I can not seem to get the idle to drop below 1.5k and it has to be under 1k to set the timing. Bummer There are multiple things I should still check for before replacing anything because I didn't get a chance to touch it today.Anyway, I'm hoping I can get her settled down and figure out my transmission wiring because my neither my speedo or reverse lights are working.

And I made a battery tie down.I got a bracket and 2 8" bolts I saw at Lowes, then cut a book bag strap for a pad.

So then I had this

Which made this

Thanks man, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.I still haven't figured out the speed sensor, I think I may have gotten a wire mixed up on the dash plug when I first soldered it.The only other thing I need is to figure out whats up with my turbo timer. It's getting power but it says .30 no matter what, and it just shuts off with the car instead of keeping it running when I take out the key.

Thanks man. Haha, that probably won't be for a while. I would like to go back to my 550cc fuel setup and get a tune so that I hopefully get ~300whp when it comes dyno time. I just need a job to pay for things first haha. Being laid off sucks.

i feel ya man...but yeah now that you have her drivin nicely my suggestion is breaking in everything...if anything you are the one being broke in...lol all your parts are meant to do what they are doing but your just fresh into the SR ...if you know any back roads then go have fun...actually cross that knowing DE the backroads are still probably icy....if you ever get to going to my house take the ramp on RT1-13 normally no cops and its a good 1/4mile flat to play around...and also on the way back its a good way to try out 2nd and 3rd gear cuz of the slow entering speed... thats what i did with my CA going back and forth...gave me the feel of tuning idle and timing

Hahahahaha Oh snap got the v dubber on here! And yea, it's definitely loud :D

When are we gonna finally get some bay shots man!??

She's having problems right now with running REALLY rich and missing. It did it randomly one day and then a few days later and kept getting more frequent. New o2 sensor is in the mail, hopefully that's all it is

I know there are a few guys on here who can vouch for how good this thing has been running (besides recent problems) and just how fast it really is. I drove from Dover DE to Cambridge MD (which is about a 70 mile drive) twice with no problems whatsoever, and only used a quarter tank of gas there and back. I can't say I have any regrets. I'm very proud to be able to say that I have by myself, completed a successful and reliable build. Thanks to Rin5 and SlamStretchPoke for your help. The rocker arm stopper install was a real ***** though.

I've got some parts in the mail now, I'll take some pics when they come in. Some parts I still need to get is a cat back exhaust, Bee*R rev limiter, and a boost controller. I would like to get a Nardi wheel sometime soon as well as a fresh lookin set of wheels and a few exterior pieces to help with the styling I'm going for.Leave some opinions/ suggestions!

Everyone likes defis and they arent bad, but I like the Autometers so much better, easier to read especially.
