Time for transmission service.. last done at 90k have 122k now.
It has Lubegaurd Platinum in it from last service.
I would like to put the best fluid in the unit since it's getting into its last life cycles. I found Amsoil multi-atf has Matic -S listed as fitting.. thought about the Amsoil with Lubegaurd Platinum.. what you guys think?
My research shows idemitsu makes Matic -S in JDM, US is made by Castrol and is the same formula as Castrol Transmax.
Any yay or nay on the Amsoil/L Platinum recipe?
No trans issues at all, just doing preventive squeezing last mile out of RE5R05A...

Also* scheduled flush Dec 1. Good idea ? The shop says he has Kendall transmission fluid to match Matic-S requirements.. never heard of Kendall transmission fluid..

I have used Valvoline Max Life. I can't tell you if it's better, but it definitely isn't worse.
I've heard of people having issues with flushes, then other shops using a very low pressure flush - basically a transfusion. Since I prefer to work on my stuff by myself, a drain and refill is what I do if i have to mess wit it. X qts out, X qts in.
If in doubt, I take it to Infiniti or Nissan.

Why do you say the trans is in its last life cycles... squeezing the last miles out of it?
