matching damping to spring rates

ok so i have d2s on my civic and stance on my s14.i know my spring rates but ive always just kinda used common sense to set the damping on them both.i mean they handle great but theres always room for improvement. so the question is, is the a basic rule or equation to set your damping buy? i mean i always put 2 or 3 notches more on the front but thats about it. perhaps this is a stupid question but i dont care im asking anyway lol

If Road Course is your goal, here you go:

However, if your using a strictly drift or drag setup, don't use that method. I knew I bookmarked that for a reason. :woot:

Every drift setup I've seen reminds me of a good prison b****; stupid as f*** with a very stiff rear.

Nah I kno the setup has to b even and smooth.I already did my sway bars,bushings,and spring rates.jus needa match the damping adjustments now
