Anyone order a master power window switch lately? I have a 2003, and mine is worn out. For some reason, when looking for a new one, a lot of places group 2004 in with the newer models (like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B075KHPNWK/ ... _lig_dp_it )

Would this work??

Well according to nissanpartsdeal.com there are two different part numbers for the main switch, depending on production date of the vehicle, neither one matches the same part number as the amazon link.

Are you sure it's the switch? On mine I went thru some madness for a bit, mostly related to the alarm and lock functions. Curiously, it turned out to have been already replaced. Shortening the story a bit it turned out the switch was fine, but I had to go thru and individually push down on all the terminals in the connector body to get that last sixteenth of an inch (if that) to make contact. I don't drive it much, but that was 2 years ago and no more issues.

Never mind. Based on my VIN starting with JN8, it is Japan built. So the search continues.

Same issue except on 2003 QX4. My QX4 is Japan built also. Not knowing about the Japan vs. US made situation, I merely ordered a 2003 QX4 replacement master on ebay, it didn't work. The plugs on my wiring fit it alright, but no action on the windows nor locks. Then, I noticed that the back of the switch was green vs clear on my existing defective switch. Nosing around ebay some more I noticed that a Maxima switch in roughly the same years as my QX4 looked the same. So, I ordered it (it was just the switch with the buttons, not the decorative housing) I screwed the new switch into my existing housing and popped the unit back into the door. It worked perfectly. Whoda' ever guessed that some QX4/Path. switches are interchangeable with a Maxima? The conundrum here, I think, is Japan vs. US made. BTW, I could find no Japan-made (clear) switches on ebay when searching for QX4 or Pathfinder, none ... only the green ones. I guess that far more of our models were made here vs. Japan for those years. Just speculating.

Here are some links to the two types of parts. I would have posted pictures but this site doesn't seem to easily accommodate them:

Interesting, I would not have guessed that. The Maxima part doesn't surprise me, but the country of production does.

Posting pics is easy, they just have to be hosted off site and fit some dimensional requirements. Imgur is probably the easiest these days, but will eventually go away as it's free. The image posted below will likely go away also, but for now it's a reference.

Yes, that's the one for my Japan-made QX4. As I said, the green one didn't work; that's why I conjectured that there are Japan vs. US units ... but I don't know that for certain. Strange that the wiring plugs (windows for the big one, locks for the smaller plug) fit into the green one okay. BTW, even though all the windows & locks are working from the panel, the key fob is not working since I did this repair. I'm going to do a new post on that issue. If you have any insight into this, please reply.

Odd that that would affect the key FOB.

I have my own issues with that. Ever since I programmed my son's 2003 Xterra key fob, it now locks/unlocks his vehicle and mine with each key press.

I ordered the same Maxima switch you posted above. Hopefully it will work as well.
