Looks like my MC has a slow leak, that has been going on from before I bought it. The body paint below the MC and booster is coming off like dead skin.

How hard is it to replace?

Not hard at all....just remember to use a line wrench for the brake lines end fittings going into the mastercylinder and PLEASE remember to bench bleed the master before putting it on.It will make things alot easier!!...J.T.

Its easy. But make sure the rubber seals are installed correctly if you did not get a plunger kit. Don't forget to bench bleed.

also be sure and check if your 720 has a clutch damper if it is the clutch master cylinder you are replacing, bleed it first. But it sounds like you are talking about the brakes.
