master cylinder or slave cylinder

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

ok so my car loses clutch fluid everyday and every morning i have to put some more in the resevoir....anyways my question is if i need to replace the slave cylinder or master cylinder do i have to use a skyline one or a 240sx one.....

sorry for the dumb question but im not to technical in that department

also could this be why my clutch slips under full boost?

well firstly it would help if you told us what car you drive with what engine.

secondly if it loses that much fluid its leaking. just find out where its leaking then you will know wich one to replace.

the clutch master is always from the 240sx, because you drive a...240sx..and the slave could be eithre skyline (RB25) or 240 (rb20).

it shouldn't have anything to do with your clutch slipping under full boost.

low fluid will keep your clutch from DISengaging fully, not engaging fully.

like kamin said- get a master for the car so it works with your pedal assembly, and slave from the transmission so it can push on the transmission. i doubt you'll need to replace both, maybe even just the soft line.

if it's not holding pressure, make sure your line are tighten properly. look for leak...

and its def leaking i can see it under my car....but i dont know what either look like, thats why i was asking...where would they be located..

the slave is on the passaenger side of the transmission, right where it meets the engine. NOT FROM A SKYLINE, but you get the ideal. looks like that.
