Okay I have seen some posts talking about the typical 300z front brake upgrade and different master cylinder sizes. My question is what master cylinders am I supposed to look for and what kind of modifications if any are required to put the 300z master cylinder on my 240 ? I want the 1 inch master cylinder I believe, but I am not completely positive which year had them and what I would need to do to make it fit my car. I have a '90 240 WITHOUT ABS.

a z32 bmc will fit your car. You just need that plug to keep the abs port from bleeding your bmc to death. 1" is also fine.

You don't need to have an upgraded MBC if you just use the Z32 front brakes. It's nice but not needed but if you do the rears than I would recommend changing it out.

Well, I have a couple more questions. First, I dont have abs so I have 3 lines coming out of the master cylinder instead of 2, so I am assuming that with my car I can literally just bolt a z32 one on then ? And I know that I am going to get some good replies for this next question but I am going to ask anyways. Do you think that with a COMPLETELY stock brake system that using a 1 inch master cylinder would make the pedal too stiff ? You see, I need a master cylinder bad right now because mine is leaking worse by the day. But in the very near future I am planning on doing an upgrade on all of the brakes. So I dont want to buy a master cylinder now and then again when I do my upgrade. So I would like to hear everybodys thoughts on putting a 1 inch z32 m/c on a completely stock system please. As alyways guys I appreciate all of your input,

Phil

Well, that link helped a lot, but I still have one remaining question. Can anybody tell me if they think that the pedal feel would be too stiff if I put a 1 inch mastercylinder on with completely stock brakes ? I dont mind it being more stiff, but I am afraid of making it too stiff. (never had to say that before lol) Thanks

don't know if the size makes much of a difference, but I don't think that a 1" would think it too stiff.

Well, size does affect pedal stiffness but I personally dont think that it would make my pedal too stiff, but I would like to see if anyone has done this before with a stock system. But anyways, I will probably just try it out and see. Thanks for the help and whenever I replace my m/c I will put up a post to tell whet it does for pedal feel with stock brakes.

I have always heard that its best to go with the Z32 1 1/16" M/C....

well, I am sure it is better to use the 1 1/16 m/c if you are running z32 brakes front and rear, but I will be using stock brakes for a while until I upgrade the system. I just need a m/c now because mine is leaking and I dont want to change it twice since I have plans for a z32 brake upgrade in the near future.
