that's not a sinkhole, that's a path to the center of the earth. or tremors. someone call kevin bacon for a consult. but seriously, i would expect a crater maybe, not just a nice, uniform hole. very little damage to surrounding buildings and pavement.

I honestly don't know about this one. It looks very uniform to be real. Priss said she could create that picture in her Photoshop class with very little effort. However, I looked up some images of sinkholes on Google and some of them looked pretty perfect too.

On that first picture it looks like they took a .RAW image and just lightened up the shadows in the sinkhole in PS or something.

This kind of disturbs me. It's so big. I have never seen a sinkhole that deep.

WTF is that dark area too? The gradient from light to dark is no where near smooth, it basically goes from fully lit, little bit below fully lit, VERY DARK.
