You shouldn't have to reset the computer. It will "learn" if needed, but if you're just replacing a stock MAF with a stock MAF, no reset should be needed.

yeah, I wanna clean my MAF... total newbie... I (very recently) started doing stuff myself (ex. coil packs, spark plugs, fuel filter).

How do I do that?

It's just that my Max has been kinda jumpy lately and i had a problem with cyl 2 so I changed all spark plugs and ignition coils but it's still jumpy just when I ask it to do a lot, it fights with itself at higher RPM probably around 2nd gear or 3rd gear.

Or could it be the TPS? I dunno

just curious, is the CEL on? find out the codes. as far as the MAF is concerned, there's a couple of things you can do. take it off and clean it, replace it, or check the wires gong into the plug that leads into the MAF.

No, the light is not on since I replaced the coils, the only time it would come on would be if i absolutely floored it (which i have not been doing). But it would just flash. I don't want to mess up the catalytic conv. When I press hard, not to the floor, the light does not come on it just kinda burps when it gets up there in rpm.

So, since the light is not coming on, it's probably not the MAF huh.

It took me a while to learn that it was a bad coil (actually, the spark plug went bad and fried the coil) and the only reason I started learning anything was from this forum. I just want my car to go back to normal.
