Mass Air Sensor

I need a Mass Air Sensor for my 1996 I30. Does anyone know where I can get a new (reconditioned?) one for less than the $550.00 quoted my my repair guys?

Check with a discount Nissan parts dealer-- Jerry Rome, Courtesy, Southpoint, etc. $450 is the usual discount price for the whole assembly, I know on the 5th gens you can just get the sensor itself (if you take it out you'll know what I mean) for $100-150, but I don't know if that's true on the 4th gen.

You can buy Infiniti/Nissan parts at discounted price from Joe of Scottsdale Infiniti, a.k.a. "everythinginfiniti.com." There is a guy on e-bay currently selling that sensor for $69.95 (Buy It Now price). BTW, how did you know you have a bad MAF sensor? Corrosion on the connector or too much dirt on the sensor can cause MAF to be erratic.
