Yesterday I touched the screen on the MAF in my my car with my hands. I wanted to know if this would make the service engine light come on in my car, it was not on before this. If so, is there a way that I can clean the screen on it so the service engine light will go off.

They sell MAFS cleaners at your local parts store. Its like $4 a can or so.

touching the screen will not cause a check engine light. if the maf was disconnected with the key on that will. if the car runs fine it may be that when you removed the maf the key was on and the ecm saw and open circuit to the maf.

That is exactly what happen, is there a way that I can fix this?

Most ecu's will clear codes after a certian #of startups if the problem dosen't occur again so you can either wait it out or if your more mechanicly inclined do a search for the procedure to check/clear codes at the turn screw on the ecu.

your ecm does not have a turn screw, i would take it to a part store and se if they have a scanner and can clear the code.

Or at least find what DTC is stored.Assumption is the mother of all screw ups.
