MaSS Air Flow Sensor!

Hey guys...i been trying to figure out how to get a better mass airflow sensor then the one my ka24de engine comes with stock...how much better is the 300zx for this occasion and are there any high performance MAS's for the 240sx?

I don't think they make an aftermarket high performance MAF for the 240sx. But the 300zx or Ford Cobra MAF will make a difference in performance.

so which of those 2 should i use that would be better for my 240sx's ka24de.....the 300zx MAF or the Cobra MAF?

referenced from SCC, i recall the cobra MAF is good to measure 300-400 HP while the Z32 MAF handles upwards of 500 HP+. ive seen a couple of cars run on the Q45 MAF. the Q45 MAF from what im told can measure tons more air than the Z32 MAF. someone please second me on this one.

Well I would think that the Ford Cobra MAF would be better because its designed for a bigger engine than the 300zx V6 MAF.

Just running a Z32 or Cobra MAF on your KA isn't going to give you any more power. The only reason people swap the KA MAF for a Z32 or Cobra is when they are making big power, like jdm_master_x said.

No use wasting the money until you get to the point that the KA MAF isn't working like it should anymore.

Yeah, it doesn't produce performance, it supports higher performance.

thats exactly what i was asking for...if my hold one (current one) is holding me back from achieving extra power

What mods do you have? It won't hold you back, it will just stop working correctly and the car will stop running good.

right now i only installed a Cold air intake...got a 4'' muffler on and lowered the car 2.2 front and 2.1 back. but tha springs dont make any difference on the engine so just those first 2.

Yeah you're fine right now. Minor bolt on mods like that will not make you need to upgrade your MAF. Spend the money on other things.
