im sure this has been posted but im new and wanted to get a fresh answer i feel that my 89 240sx se has a mafs that has a very restrictive opening is there one i can just swap it with without paying like 250$ for a venom unit i dont want or need

1) No.

2) Venom is ****.

3) Only easy way to upgrade is to get an S-AFC, then a Z32 MAF.

...

And it's only a restriction if you've done EVERYTHING else possibly already...I/H/E, cam, ECU tuning, etc...

but then whats the point of having such large intake tubing if my maf if only bout 1.5 in opening and the throttle body is still like 2.5

Z32 or Ford Cobra MAF. And it mostly has to do with the computer, not the diameter of the MAF.
