So i'm in need of an OEM mass air flow sensor for my auto 92 240sx. I had heard that both the 240sx and the 93-95 altima had the same MAF sensor but i've also heard that this is not correct. Who can clarify this for me? I took my MAF off and compared it to an 95 Altima's to try and see and the part numbers weren't the same. Mine reads 22680 53f00 a36 000 g60, the altima's read 22680 D9000 JA36 605 GA0......I've searched on here, even called the dealer and the guy didn't seem to know so who is 100% sure about my question?

Different part #'s for maf = don't use it (unless you have a custom tune to allow you to do so).

There's no reason to run an altima maf sensor, 240sx maf sensors are plenty.

I'm not looking to run an altima MAF sensor. My question was are they the same MAF in some cases? Do some ka24de's in 240sx's and altima's use the same MAF sensor or not? That is what i'm wondering since I know some Altimas use the same engine.

The question is... why are you asking this question? hahahahaha. If you aren't planning on using it, no real point. If you are planning on using (view my first post).

The altima ka24de, at the very least, has different cams & lower compression --> different tune --> not exactly the same engine (not to mention the fwd vs rwd orientation).

If you are wondering just for the hell of wondering... different maf #'s = not the same maf. My maf # on my 92 240sx is the same as yours fyi.

The curve (plotting voltage vs airflow) will be different. If you want the actual plot, good luck - only way I think you'll find one is to get an altima maf sensor, hook it up to a vacuum/altima/dyno/whatever & do the readings & plot it yourself - aka the way the guys who run 300zx maf & cobra maf's figured it out.

My car is running rich as hell and I did a diagnostic and well i'm in need of a MAF, and since I can't find anything but altimas that is why i'm asking. Thanks for responding though, i've got my answer already and I got another MAF already. By the way, any of you guys try to pass emissions with denatured alcohol? Any cons to trying this?
