So I got a free filter from a friend and I decided to take out the stock airbox and pop a k&n cone filter onto the end of my mas. Unfortunately, I need some sort of adapter with the correct bolt-holes for the mas on a 96 240.

I don't know the name of the connector, but I need an adapter that has a spot for the connector that usually goes into the air box. Do you guys know of any places that sell the adaptors with the sensor connector for cheap? Thanks.

Theres a place here locally that has an adapter. Umm, but if you look in the "rice" section of Autozone by the conicals and euro tails and crap, there should be an adapter for it. Its never in stock at mine unless you ask, but I know they carry it.

It's not cheap, but it's also billet aluminum instead of plastic, which can (and will) crack.

I'm sure ebay has them too

If you can't find an adapter or you want to save a few bucks just use a drummel saw to trim down the edges of the MAF to make it round (be very careful), and attach the filter directly to the MAF, i did it that way but that was because i used a 90 degree PVC pipe to make the filter point forward so i could use the air box lid as a heat shield, it looks getto as hell, but hey it works.

This is what mine looks like, you can't see it very well but notice the intake coupling attached directly to the MAF.
