I finally got a copy of this and it's GREAT.

Gran Prix mode can be frustrating and cheap as usual, but the control with the Wii Wheel is amazing and the time trials mode is fun as hell.

Anyone want to play? What are everyone's friend codes?

I issue an open challenge for time trials lap times on N64 Bowser's Castle. I'm relatively certain that I hold the fastest time in the world right now on "automatic" mode (i.e. no mini turbo), and I'm working on beating the "fast staff time" on manual mode.

There are TONS of cheater times though, all the fastest time trials records are cheaters online. I'm going to ***** to Nintendo about it.

My little bro got this for christmas, and I was looking forward to playing it.

I'm definitely disappointed. Nowhere near as fun as Double Dash or MKDS. I found it extremely frustrating, even by MK standards. I was planning to pick it up eventually before I played it, but now I think I'll give it a pass. I'd rather play Double Dash.

The wii controls didn't really do anything for me, either. If there's a way to recalibrate them, they might work. But as they are, they're way too under-sensitive. I feel like I'm driving an '80s cadillac.

Really?

I get WAY faster times with the Wii Wheel than I can with a classic pad.

I played it a bit during Christmas and didn't really care for it. I have yet to pick it up again, but I think I may enjoy it more playing on a Wavebird.

Edit: So I switched to the Wavebird with Manual drift, and holy hell what a world of difference. It feels just like MKDS now, I love it :D Let's see if the same holds true for SSBB

My MK code is 5413-4344-7069

The wavebird makes ALL the difference in the universe with SSBB.

I love Mario Kart. It's probably my favorite game series. My roommate and I play it on N64 and GC all the time.

I think the Wii version is great. I bought my parents a Wii for their anniversary. I was able to keep it for a few weeks while they were moving into a new house so I bought Mario Kart. Now we sneak over and borrow it from them every once in a while lol

I use the Wii Mote and Nunchuck. I hate the wheel.

The biggest let down for Mario Kart Wii is the Battle Mode. I wish it could just be Player-VS-Player again. Not Player-VS-Player-VS-Every NPC.

I havn't played it online, just with friends at my house and parents house.
