hey ben, what if i just give you tha parts in march an yuo pay me when you get the cash !! im pretty sure im buyin the 240 this week! im aiming for 700 shiped to me from n hour away! its in good shape, ill be pullin the ca18det out of the crappy 240 next week if i buy the new one tomorrow or fri-night! then cleaning it up , fixing the oil leak then put it in the new 240, ill be very very sastified to have it in a 240 thats driveable!!! plus this new job is looking alright but its alot rough driving on my daily driver240sx so i think ill rough it out for my swaps sake !

hey slw240, that sounds sweet dude. thanks alot. looks like i'll be gettin the 5spd swap done a lil sooner than i thought!!!

i wish i already had my 300zx brakes done, so i might could possibly have the 5spd for the march meet, but dont look like thats gonna happen

but AT LEAST by summer.

hey guys i stopped in at a local shop finaly to gather some prices and i learned that there are infact a couple of Sr swaps with in minutes of me !!!! and a kid that works at the shop is driving a 240sx ! well hes actually shoping for a motor sr right now... i have to go talk to him an tell him about NICO that way he can be as hooked up as we are.. im going to also try n organize a meet with me an the other 240 owners here in town to see if anyone is down to caravan to BG for a meet ! can you just imagine 40-50 s13s and s14s all togther down there????? and what kida reactions we would have from people seeing them roll through town, they would think we were a cult or somthing. and having us all show up at the track an probably take it over! i cant wait i just hope that the Ca is in and road worthy by then!!

im buyin the new chasis this week!!! ill have 3 now this week is also going to be preping the motor for removal an then cleaning then fitting into the new chasis!! then hopefully by the 31st ill get to take her on her first test drive!!! im so exicted i can hardly wait, and that leaves all febuary to upgrade the intercooler ,fuel pump,guages, swap my suspension from my 90 auto to the new chasis and ill be ready to either tow or drive it to kentucky to show it off some !!!

sounds like a great plan Jon. i can't wait till you get your car running. i think it is going to be soooo amazing to see so many nissan/infiniti's driving in a HUGE line down the interstate or wherever we go. ahh jeez, i wish we could get someone in a helicopter or sumthin to take some pics of the caravan from up in the air. you kno how sweet that would be? all i kno is i am going to have a few rolls of film to burn at this meet. i just met a guy last night here in town that has a 200sx SE-R. i can't remember what year. its pretty new. maybe '97? its a red 5speed, lowered. said he has a filter for it, but thats it. he hasn't had his licence very long, so he hasn't had the car long either. but he's into the nissan thing some. i'm gonna get him to come to the meet if i can. he's a cool guy. i love his car

One of our local NICO members is currently arranging for us to rent it concureently with a local import performance shop.

We now think it will be much cheaper than the 20-30 we originally put out.

With unlimited runs for everyone.

So we <are> looking again at the 8th and it <does> look like it will be ok for the 8th for not too much more money, if any.And I counted spome of the <for sure>'s from BG No KY and Luoisville and we should be in the neighborrhodd of 40 cars.With that many even if we dont do it togetehr with the import tune shop here we would still be able to easily afford it (extra cost maybe $5-10)

We are tentatively back on for the 8th, with more details to be posted Monday nite.

I like the sound of this! Lower cost, increased runs. This will make it more attractive to others that may have started considering not going. To have the entire place to ourselves sounds sweet!

hey scream, you should hook w/ with redrocket somewhere and caravan up with him. he is close to jackson MS i believe. i guess you could meet up somewhere. i'm sure he'd be down for it. its sweet that you are hopefulle comin man!! what model 240 u drive? mods?

Ok....I have talked with the owner of Beech Bend and also with the owner of the local shop. As of now, everything looks like a go. There is a very high probability that there will be an import meet on the 8th with free entry for those NOT racing and a small fee (~ $10) for those racing, so I think we should set the date for the 8th regardless. It will not be Test/Tune like it will be on Sunday, but will most likely be broken down into classes (Nat. Aspirated 4 cyl, N/A 6 cyl., Forced Induction/Nitrous 4 cyl., Forced Induction/Nitrous 6 cyl.). Those are just guesses.

For those of you who are set on running as many times as possible, the track will be OPEN on SUNDAY for sure no matter what happens on Sat. So, if you spend the night you are guaranteed a chance to run your car in a test/tune setup for $10 on Sunday.

I think that regardless of whether or not the local import meet happens, it will still be a great time, and the NICO meet will still continue. For only $15 you can stay the night and hang out with everyone and race the next day if for some reason we don't get a chance to on Sat.

IMPORTANT!! For those of you wanting to stay overnight WHICH SHOULD BE ALL OF YOU!!

sounds sweet chris. is the thing saturday going to only be people with imports and sutff? like are we and whoever else comes from NICO and other car forums going to be the only ones there? or can anyone from anywhere w/ an import or whatever come and race?
