So I have been looking around at this for a while now.

http://www.mapecu.co.nz/map2.html

And it seems really tempting. Now we all know that adjusting timing on a piggy back is biatch do to the fact that we have no idea when the stock ECU is pulling or adding timing there for it requires dyno time a knock lite and lots of tuning. Also setting timing using a map type sensor is realy simple cause then you know exacly when you are in boost.

So I was thinking about using this thing, and the time lock device I have mention before on here. And having the Time lock device return the timing to stock at 1psi which is 38* and then just letting the map2ecu do the rest.

It may seem a little pricey but still a lot less then a full stand alone, and at the same time you are still retaining perfect drive ability when not in boost. This also seems like a really good option for the OBD2 guys who have very little good tuning options.

my friend has the map ecu 1 on his lexus sc300 na-t, its cool and all we learned to tune on it from knowing very little and having no tuning experience. I learned alot from playing around with the a/f s mind his doesnt have timing control. Remember map sensors work off of volumetric pressure(which changes) so when the air gets colder *winter time* and the air is more dense the tune will not work right same with if you tune it for cold weather and the weather changes the tune will not compensate! its a ***** when you tune on a warm day then it gets cold outside and you are leaning out majorly when you go into boost!!! so think about that. : )

Yah true, but it also gives you the option to have to pre set maps and you can switch between both of them with a flick of a button. So no problem there, but right now I'm leaning more towards maybe a MS2. I love my rom tune though so far.

yea but if you have a map for 30 degrees and 70 degrees when its 95 you are kinda ****ed haha... (way too rich) but yea just dont forget to take that into account when tuning with a map sensor... yea im doing research in the rom tuning thing. my friend has been building stout dsms for like 8 years and he does his own rom tuning now. for the price and the options its very apealing to me, good luck man!

Well a Map cant be that bad now, I mean come on how do they make all the Hondas run so well when they all work off of map sensors?
