For that price, why not just simply go stand alone?

yes, but its a supplement to the cars original system.

basically its incase you overrun your maf, the emanage has a sensor to go by.

it doesnt replace the original MAF

Interesting product. The HKS VPC was a pretty good fuel computer. It cost a lot, but the advantage was that it was preprogrammed. But this product adds a lot more versatility. I'm not sure I'd pay what they are asking for it though. But it's certainly worth some investigation.

Hope he knows it's application specific. So it has to be put on the same motor he pulled it from. Worst case, he should make a pretty penny off of that on Ebay if he can't use it. $5 is very good for a VPC, assuming it works. I know HKS discontinued it. Anyone know if they still support it though?

he said it does work but i forget what kinda of car he got it out of. might have been an older supra like he has. the junkyard had no idea what it was thats why he got it so cheap

he's right, the map just kicks in once you exceed the stock mafs. pretty silly system if you ask me...and there is no way I'd pay 900 to convert to maps... you could do so much with that money.

I think xtrizz was referring to this MAP-ECU product. The E-Manage is designed to use the pressure sensor at points beyond the capability of the MAF. I'm not even sure the pressure sensor or E-Manage is designed to read vacuum.
