Map light help.

My map light is a bit yellow with some dust inside of it. Im gonna take it out tomorrow and throw in some blue lights but im wondering if i can clean off the cover. It might be yellow because of smoke? I dunno but my question is. Is there a chemical that I can use to make that clear again? Its in there pretty good or would i have to buy a new one or go to the pick n pull...

Just use some stuff that cleans oxidation. I'm sure there's plenty of that stuff at Pepboys, Autozone, etc...

I got some degreaser at work. would that help?

If non of that works, wet sand it like some people do to headlight lenses.

I use a little bleach and a tooth brush and dry it with a white cloth t-shirt. works amazing, I've done it to other plastics to get rid of oil stains and discolorations.

Hmm. So i took out my dome light this morning, tipped it over a pile of white powder fell onto my lap and on my seat. I asked my boss at work (used to be hard into drugs) And he claims that its cocaine. So i was quite surprised to say the least, i cleaned it out, cleaned out my interior some more and proceeded to put the blue bulbs in. just thought id share that with you all. Maybe I should thoroughly check the rest of my car for drug remnants...What happens when i get pulled over... i swear its not mine!!! yeah right....
