So has anyone changed there Map Light to LEDs? I know its takes 194 bulbs but what type did you buy? I bought some single LED bulbs but it just make a circle in my map lighting lens. Please post a link from where you bought them from and post pictures if possible. Thanks for everyone input.

works great for me, very solid color because of the diffuser and there are 4 bulbs on the side

All single LED's will cause that little circle. You have to buy ones like johnny_d posted. I tried the LED's on my map but I personally like the stock bulbs the best because it's easier to see with.

actually no, I used a diff bulb with 6 LEDs for the dome. As far as the side marker, I bought the flank bulb that points down. I thought they'd point sideway but it turned out they point down when inserted. Which works out even better cuz there's enough light to brighten up the side of the door while most of the light floods the ground below. Also available from the same seller.

I'm not sure how white is gonna be, actually looking from outside it's not that bright because of the factory tint. I didn't do license plate bcuz heck, I don't want nobody reading my license plate from far away esp cops

I'm sorry, I'm sure this is somewhere but can anyone tell me how to change the map lights? I don't see any little wedge.

I used a knife, but you can use any flat object like a thin flat-head screwdriver. You have to wedge it between the lens and the housing, pushing from inside to out toward the door. It'll pry in a little, then you have to just push inward and pull down and out. I hope this makes sense. I can picture it in my head, but I don't know if I'm describing it correctly.

the manual will tell you how to open the diffuser. I would turn off the lights a few mins prior to trying to pull it out cuz it gets real hot. Use a knife or small flat screwdriver and ease it out. Not so hard u can crack the bulbs. if your fingers don't have a good grip, you can moisten your finger and try to rub/pull it out or try using tape or something to get a better grip. The bulb should just pull out with a little force and the screwdriver for leverage

Hey, I just changed all my bulbs last night. Well all of them except for the map lights. (Just because I didn't order the bulbs for those, I figured it out, thanks Generic)

Does your dome light stay turned on very lightly even when it's already OFF? My dome light still shines a very, very, very dim amount of light when it is in the 'neutral' position.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah black and white, I think someone mentioned this before... because the LED works off of so little power, they continue to glow even when the car is off. (3watts vs 8 watts for the factory halogen i believe, but dont quote me ) i seriously doubt this will hurt the life of the battery if that's what you're worried about.

I knew I had read it somewhere but I couldn't figure out where. I'm not really worried about the battery... it just bugs me that it doesn't turn off all the way.

Is this just something I have to live with if I have the LED dome light?

Hey man... i have some extras ill send you if you need...

Get yourself one of those drills... plug it in... and then pick up a screwdriver... pry from the front of the light (closest to the rear of the car)... and the plastic will come right off... pull out bulb... insert new one..... The back licence plate ones you need to take a bunch of plugs out to get to... and the ones in the bottom of the door.. just pull from the OUTSIDE... (the street side) and it comes right off... dont worry the doors have opposite bulb placement... simple as pie.. i did this one myself!!!1

go over to the Bulb application thread and look up the bulb #, 194s will work for most of them. Then go to ebay and search for 194 LED and you can pick your color from there. Remember, if you do the map light, make sure to buy the ones with a few bulbs instead of the single bulb, it will make a circle instead of spreading light evenly
