I'm going to be installing a Haltech platinum sport 1000 ECU soon and I just want to make sure I read the IAT and MAP signals from the best places. I've already google searched this extensively but can't seem to find a general consensus on what's the best place to read from.

So, for the MAP signal I was going to run a line from a vacuum/pressure nipple on the throttle body.
As for the IAT I was going to tap that into the turbo piping going into the throttle body.

That makes sense to me but I want to make sure that's going to be the most accurate. This way the MAP sensor sees the vacuum/pressure that's in the throttle body/manifold like it's supposed to and the IAT is reading the temperature of the air right before it goes into the engine, opposed to reading the temperature of the air outside if it were tapped into the intake piping.

Is there any better place to read the MAP and IAT from? Thanks.

I have my IAT sensor actually in my intercooler cold-side end tank, I also already had it drilled and tapped so it seemed like the right thing to do. :D
But really, as long as it's post-intercooler (anywhere between the TB and IC), it should be ok.
MAP can be any reference from the plenum.

Thanks for the reply. :)

So I had the right idea for the IAT but the MAP has to come directly from the intake plenum? A nipple on the throttle body that sees vacuum and pressure wouldn't read the same? Is that less accurate or what? Just curious...

The IAT is supposed to be in the intercooler piping as close to the throttole plate as possible for the most accurate reading

The MAP needs to see the "ported" engine pressure (pressure after the throttle body). so you can either directly thread it into the plenum or remote mount it and run a vacuum line to it.
