manufacturer cash to dealer?

Thought I saw something on the web about $1000 cash to dealer during February, but now can't find it. Anyone heard of this?Thanks

I've heard of Hyundai doing this...not sure if Nissan/Infiniti are as well. But, with the auto market for new cars in the tank, it wouldn't surprise me.

Here's how it reads: $1000 Dealer cash may not be combined with 3.9% APR - 4.9 % APR and vehicle must be financed through the manufacturer's captive finance company. It's good through February 2.

I was told at the dealer that it means that on cash sales the dealer gets $1,000 from the manufacturer. Doesn't hold true for any other deal.
