Ya manual trans were so hard to find when I grabbed my car. I think the only one available near me was a white 3.5 which would have been great but I was getting a 2.5 black

It is not practical to consider converting to manual. I wish it was!

I was in a similar position - driving a rental car, and buying a new AC - couldn't wait 3 months to get one built - about 100 3.5 MTs found their way to Canada for 09! Hopefully, Nissan will rethink the MT/CVT split!

hopefully... my car just gets that much more unique with less manuals out there since mine is a 6spd .

Also I must agree it's not worth it, it would be expensive.

... you can add 'muscle car' to the list of selling points

When I bought my 6MT the dealer said it would be at least 3 months wait for a manual shift. I told him I wasn't buying a CVT and I'd wait as long as it took for him to get me a stick. Surprise, surprise, he called me less than a week later and had "found" one at a dealership 50 miles away that even had the trim package I wanted. Dealerships want to sell you what they have in stock and will lie to you to avoid having to do the legwork to find the car you actually want. Don't believe 'em!
