!!!HELP NEEDED!!! I’m currently doing a manual swap on my 1990 hatch, and ran into some issues. Iv done everything I need to do to do the manual swap (clutch, pedal, flywheel, etc…) and I’m stuck on putting the transmission back on. The transmission will go in, but there’s this little gap that will not close/idk how to close. I have a few bolts in finger tight, but hear bad things about using bolts to get it down all the way so I’ll refrain from that unless someone has a better idea. Iv already realigned clutch, taken the transmission on and off a million times, but just can’t seems to get this s*** in all the way. Anything helps! I have no clue how to proceed, I just wanna drive this s*** again. (Yes I changed auto pilot bearing out to manual transmission one it’s a lil smaller)

Did you bolt up the clutch and pressure plate using a centering tool? If not, you're probably hanging up on the pilot bearing because you're a little off center. Just a little is all it takes, pilots are bushings and don't have a lot of clearance. Even a small angle will usually make for a lot of f#cking around to get the shaft to seat.

PS - That's assuming all the parts are compatible. I'm no swap expert, so I'll let somebody else chime in on that count.
