Manual transmission shift knobs

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me with the manual shift knobs. My A/C is 6spd manual and I want to get a new shift knob. I was wondering. If I can just twist of the knob. My reverse is under the knob which I pull up on to set it. Will that be affect it? Or do I have to replace that to if I just get a new knob?

Also does any know where I can get car specific knobs? Can find on with reverse before 1st gear!!?? Thanks !!

I notice that tread. But most of his links are not working and it really doesn't tell me how to take the knob off.

just twist, it unscrews. it's on pretty tight, i had to wrap my knob with a towel and use a wrench to get it off. uhh.. that didn't sound very good if you didn't know the context...

Thanks I thought so too. That doesn't seem hard. Do you know some web links I can get knobs from? I don't like ball knobs to much lol. Help would be appricated!

If the links dont work, just google the company and look it up through their site, I recommend the one I have . more expensive then the others but not one regret and feels great in my hand
