I noticed in a post that Mobil 1 70w -90w gear lube was being used in a manual transmission. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the manual transmission uses Dexron 111 transmission fluid. I always thought over time gear lube destroys the brass synchros. Myself I own 4 vehicles with manual transmissions, and have always used ACDelco synchromesh transmission fluid.

And to clarify... GL-4, not GL-4/GL-5. There is some pretty good speculation that the GL-5 and the soft metals in Nissan's manual transmissions don't play well together. I ended up ordering Nissan's MTF. Sadly, it's still in the bottles in a box in my dining room after about 11 months, instead of in my truck.

I found it very interesting because everybody is just speak about "automatic transmissions", and now this is something different post which is about Manual Transmission. Manual transmissions use oil, not transmission fluid. b. The clutch is not housed in the transmission.
