I am trying to finish up my swap and need to find out what type of transmission fluid to use. My friend reccomended Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid, and said to use 3.5 to 4 quarts. I just want to get a second opinion on this as I am not certain that is correct. What do you guys use? What weight fluid and what kind? Thanks a lot

Thanks, I saw the gear oil discussion you directed me to. I would still like to get another opinion on Pennzoil Synchromesh, anyone here use it? I bought 4 bottles of the stuff but have yet to use them in case I need to exchange them for something else. Any info would be appreciated

Sure you can use it, see how it feels, if your transmission feels notchy even after being warm, might want to try some Redline. Personally I trust more expensive fluids that I know have been proven and after switching to Redline I wont go back.
